The sweet smell of fresh Danish pastry is like no other. These lovely pastries are known worldwide as Danish. In this class we will focus on creating from scratch the laminated sweet pastry in the traditional Viennese style. – YES! That’s right, the thing we all know as Danish was actually introduced to Denmark by Austrian bakers. But the Danes have made it their own of course, and now the whole world knows and loves these delicious bites as Danish Pastry.
In this class you will be hands-on be creating, laminating, folding and shaping Viennese dough, as well as making various toppings and fillings. Then we’ll be all set to create different types of Danish Pastries, which we’ll bake fresh, and enjoy straight away.
Once everything is smelling like melted butter, and your pastries are crisply cooked, we will all sit down and enjoy our warm, sweet Danish Pastry together with a cup of tea or coffee. – True Danish style.
